Hunch
A count of what reviewers wrote, not a finding about the company.
Hunch is built for one thing: getting you on a real date, faster and with less effort. Not more swipes. Not more endless chats. An actual plan, with an actual person, in the real world. Why Hunch is different Dating today doesn't fail because you lack options or intent. It fails because interest rarely turns into action. Conversations stall. Plans dissolve. Dating becomes background work you manage indefinitely — and nothing moves. Hunch takes that burden off you. We handle the intros, the place, and the time — so the real work can happen on the date, not before it. How it works → Share when you're free — set your general availability, not a rigid calendar. Hunch works around your life. → Meet people ready to date IRL — everyone on Hunch is here to actually show up. No browsers, no collectors, no one using this as a second Instagram. → Everyone is verified — 100% photo-verified profiles, so you know you're connecting with a real person. → We suggest the plan — Sia, your matchmaker, recommends a venue, a time, and makes the intro. You just show up. This is for you if... You're done with the setup work. You'd rather spend your energy on the date itself — not the weeks of texting that never turn into one. You don't need an app to decide for you. You need one that gets you into the room. This is not for you if... You enjoy browsing matches, collecting conversations, or using dating apps for entertainment. Hunch is built for follow-through, not for browsing. The rest of the magic happens in real life. Download Hunch and go on your next date. Terms: https://hunchapp.com/terms-of-use | Privacy: https://hunchapp.com/privacy-policy | Support: customersupport [at] hunchapp.com

Typical app is the median across apps with 30 or more reviews in the same star range on the same store. Unhappy reviews are rated 1–3 stars and say what went wrong. Happy reviews are rated 4–5 stars.

this app charges for everything
I get that every company needs to make money. But Hunch is one of those apps that goes hardcore into monetizing loneliness. You get just barely enough functionality to think the app could work for y...
I’m not sure if this app works or is completely buggy. I’ve only had 1 connection, and haven’t seen any notifications for any sort of communication.
they allow people to ask you out on dates and then unmatch you as soon as you say yes without any kind of penalty for doing that....
If you’re not going to pay don’t bother.
Paying for no contacts. WTF
Don’t get me wrong it’s a good concept, but I do get the matches and I do ask them out but so far NO RESPONSES. Why does it need to be difficult for someone who wants to give people a chance only to b...
Fake profiles that are always online? Only can match if you pay? Once matched nothing happens; because indeed the profile is fake. What a waste of money.
It’s just another pay to see your matches app… it’s a waste of time
This app is about like all the others…it’s just another digital thirst trap that charges for add-ons that, if “hunch” really worked like they say, wouldn’t be needed…. Boo$t your profile $end flower$ ...
Not great matches, and they keep pushing to toward various paid upgrades even once you pay for a subscription. At least for NYC, even the initial matches were mostly far away. Buyer beware.
It only sends me two people a day which are usually hideous, very unlikely I’ll see any growth from this app
There were not many women and some of the ones sent to me were fake
Again, another app that requires you to pay a bunch of money to see who is inviting you to a drink/date.. dating apps are not meant to be monetized. Dating shouldn’t cost money like this.
Worthless app. It tells you that you have likes, but will not show you the profiles in your daily drop unless you pay. It’s been weeks and not a single one of my likes ever showed up for me to swipe o...
You can’t see who likes you or wants to date you unless you upgrade to their premium features. There is a free option but all the features are extremely limited. Don’t bother creating an account or ...
The 3 month does not include filters which extremely annoying because there are a lot of matches I do not like. Your allowed to put height for men and woman but no weight? The only filter option you h...
The concept sounds nice but the reality is very limited in the true number of reasonable matches and no refund I reached out after the first search . Filters returned a guy in my search even though it...
You only get five matches a day if you pay for it you get to swap 3 and most of the they’re so-called matches we’re not a match at all. It was a waste of money.
5 seconds after I created my account and got to the main menu I got a like on my account. After about two weeks or so the name of the person who liked me hasn’t popped up. They give you a fake like in...
$25? For a trash dating app it’s just as bad as the rest of them not a single like with a month long membership to potentially meet nobody. Gg
It’s a great concept but my experience has been much less desirable than the swipe apps
Not enough people to get a match
Apparently I have had numerous matches but only one where a date was set up and she never showed. All the other women I matched with never responded during the time period. Another dating app that doe...
Instead of being able to swipe through endless profiles, you’re shown 15 profiles a day. None of them are any better quality than what you’d see on Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, any of the sort. There’s noth...
One of the worst if not the worst dating apps.
Looking good so far
Definitely feels more geared toward setting up actual dates than other apps
Have talked to a lot of people and very easy to use
Even for the most basic of profiles to be set up, you have to pay for everything. If you don’t want to pay, then you get matches that aren’t even in your calibre - and you’re stuck with mismatches bas...
What happened to you helps the next person decide. A line or two is fine.
